MARIA INÊS MARQUES
(Porto, 1990). Maria is the producer and dramaturg of Colectivo84. She is currently a D.F.A. candidate in Dramaturgy at the Yale School of Drama, where she is working on a translated anthology of contemporary plays about Portugal's postcolonial legacies. In 2017, she got her MFA in Dramaturgy and Dramatic Criticism from YSD. She has worked as script reader for Yale Repertory Theatre and Theatre for a New Audience (New York). Between 2015 and 2016, she served as Managing Editor for Theater (Yale University/Duke University Press).
Her dramaturgy credits include the premiere of The Moors, by Jen Silverman (Yale Rep); Bulgaria! Revolt!, by Miranda Rose Hall and Elizabeth Dinkova (Yale School of Drama); Cloud Tectonics, by José Rivera, and The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant, by Fasbinder (Yale Cabaret) e, more recently, Neva, by Guillermo Calderón, and The Peroson of Szechwan, by Bertolt Brecht (Trinity Rep/Brown University). With Colectivo84, she served as production dramaturg on My Favorite Suicide, by Mickael de Oliveira, and Hantology, by Mickael de Oliveira and Nuno M Cardoso.
