Everything Pier Paolo Pasolini wrote and filmed is linked to the dimension of the intimate, the life of the human body. In Pocilga, bodies and pigs are subject to the same concealment, a single depreciation. Pasolini makes a metaphorical portrait of human decay and degradation that spread in capitalist society, telling the story of a man whose passion is a cause for scandal. What does its diversity, deviant love, and monstrosity, have to do with the massacre of millions of bodies in Nazi Germany? A political alliance makes a pact to silence "all that does not live," that is, everything that is not seen in the eyes of the other.
